Acid - Kuba Arte

ACID Kuba Arte is a limited edition release. The cigars come packaged in humidors designed as water towers with graffiti art. The origins of Drew Estate trace back to the DUMBO section of Brooklyn, New York. It’s a neighborhood near the Brooklyn side of the Manhattan Bridge (which adorns Drew Estate’s logos to this day). The neighborhood is known for its graffiti art and water towers on the top of buildings. Seven collectible humidors for ACID Kuba Arte featured artwork from five New York graffiti artists (Chino, Doc, Scotch70, Queen Andrea, and Kers).

The cigars come packaged in 20-count water tower humidors. As mentioned, there are seven water tower humidors, and 1,750 sets were created. The blend to ACID Kuba Arte is the same for all seven water tower humidors.

Wrapper: Broadleaf

Flavors

1st :

Initial puffs from this cigar had the brown sugar component quickly dissipating due to the sweetened tip. Notes of white pepper, summer savory, licorice root, roasted beet, oyster sauce, dehydrated cara cara orange, teak, clove, and oatmeal.

2nd:

The second third brings more of a cocoa nib note, purple catura coffee, toffee, chalk, cherry syrup, vanillin, German thyme, licorice root, a meat note of soy sauce, along with barley, baking spices of clove, Brazil nut, earthy notes of damp soil and steel

3rd:

The last third has earthy notes that are more pronounced, like soil and clay. Hrbatious notes include barley, thyme, rose hips, and white pepper, along with fruit notes of black currant, bing cherry, and prune. The baking spices include clove, black cardamon, soy sauce, Dutch process cocoa powder, and a sweet note like nougat.

The Draw :

I did a straight cut. The draw is constant and smooth, with no resistance. I purge a few times to keep it burning; the cigar does smoke fast, and There is an abundance of smoke output.

The Burn :

The burn is consistent and even with no needing to be relit and does not need touch-ups along the way.

The Appearance :

The cigar's Broadleaf wrapper is the lightly roasted coffee bean in color. There are thin, visible veins and thin, visible wrapper seams. The torpedo viola has an average taper.

It was wrapped with two labels, with a more considerable label background and graffiti, separated by a single silver line dividing each unique graffiti tower.

The other label has a tower and the word Acid printed in silver on the graffiti label.

Final Thoughts:

89 Points

This cigar has a decent amount of complexity. As for balance, it was a different story. It wasn’t so much that the infusion took over the flavor profile, but this cigar got meaty and herbaceous in the second half—and simply elevated the overall experience.

I’m I am not adverse to smoking an infused cigar. This one is a good cigar, but it might be hard to find. I advise picking it up to try.
